How to eat healthy when dining out

If the menu isn’t giving you much of an idea, you can also ask the restaurant staff about the ingredients or a ‘healthy’ alternative. If that isn’t possible, you can always ask for a salad. You can drink water before your meal and during it, try to stay away from carbonated drinks. Portion control is also quite important. Do not keep on stuffing yourself; eat until you don’t feel hungry anymore, and that’s about it.

One more thing you can do is don’t swallow your food in a rush. Take your time, and chew as thoroughly as you can. You can also order appetizers instead of the main dish. Also, if the person you’re with wants to order dessert, there is no way you can get out of it, and then go for some other substitute like coffee. When ordering your food, kindly ask the waiter to bring the stuffing or sauce on the side.
